Ryede Specialty Works c. 1920's

The Ryede is a one column wall vendor that vended either gum or chocolate. The only difference in the two models is the paper tag in the window.

I never thought I wanted one of these for my collection until I saw one in person. Unlike many other column wall vendors, this one has a lot of style. The decals are very attractive and the rounded piece at the bottom creates a nice look.

You don't see these very often but I happened to come upon two in one week. How lucky am I?
